All professional associations have their own code of ethics that members are expected to abide by to ensure that standards of the profession are upheld. For instance when employees allowing themselves to be drawn into salon gossip and pettiness against the owner which is just dishonest. They have a right to complain, but do so with the owner in private, they will appreciate your honesty. Employees and the owner also need to be courteous and sincere.

Time Management- If you can manage your time successfully, you can manage your business the same way. Time management is the ability to use one's time effectively or productively, especially at work. If you struggle with managing your time and find that looking after the business side of things is suffering as a consequence, then you must become a better time manager. If you don’t, you’ll most certainly end up feeling stressed and burnt-out, and your business and personal life will both suffer. You must complete your task in the defined time period. Try to manage all your walking’s. As if customer wait for their turn for a long time then he/she definitely move out from your salon.  Appointment time must be accurate you must attend your customer on time there should be no delays from your side. Hygiene- Whatever the type of business, the law states that every workplace must be a fully hygienic environment. Working in a salon environment also means that you are exposed to many different clients and performing treatments everywhere from their hair and scalp to their fingernails and toenails, to their most intimate areas. After all, at any salon or makeup studio, there is a risk of transmission of infection when using equipment and products on different clients.  So replace your equipment regularly; keep all your equipment sterile; it’s also important to disinfect your customers’ hands thoroughly, and of course, Hygiene starts with employees too! Make sure employee wash their hands regularly, and certainly between customers.

Quality- Hair and beauty salons that are always upgrading to better equipment and safer products tend to offer better services. Find out what equipment the salon has to achieve a desired look or treatment and whether you can trust in the quality of the beauty products it uses. It is better to be charged a slightly higher price for the services and give quality than lower prices for low-quality services.

Employee Conduct- Include key elements of your salon employees' required conduct in the code of ethics. Use statements such as "employees will respect their co-workers' property," and "employees will treat all clients with dignity and respect." Include prohibitions against poaching clients from other stylists and bad-mouthing other stylists' work or abilities. Encourage your employees to exhibit the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in their dealings with clients and each other.

Dress- A professional appearance is important when employees work with customers or potential customers. Clean and pressed clothing or uniform. No open-toes shoes for health and safety reasons Hair clean. Also neat and tidy for beauty therapy. Well applied make-up. No jewelry except 1 pair of small stud earrings and wedding band for beauty. Employee’s nails must be clean. They can wear nail art to attract client for nail art. But for beauty therapy nails should be short.

Teamwork- Teamwork pulls people together in the most positive and inspiring way. When your salon/spa’s team spirit is strong enough, even your self-proclaimed diehard loners and change resisters will find themselves subtly seeking a way to align with the team. Every employee must have a feeling that they are a part of a team, the role doesn’t matter for them.

Caring for Company Assets- Employees should always act to protect company assets, including physical, intellectual, and electronic or digital properties.

Avoid Using Cell Phones- Cell phones are necessary for everyone. So this will not fair when you disallowed to have cell phones but Personal cell phone usage during work hours must be discouraged, except in extreme cases such as an emergency.
